DUTCH Hormone Testing

The DUTCH (Dried Urine for Comprehensive Hormones) Complete test is a dried urinary test that provides a comprehensive assessment of sex and adrenal hormones and their metabolites. It also assesses the daily free cortisol pattern, organic acids and melatonin.

Traditional blood tests measure the circulating levels of hormones like estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone at a single moment. The DUTCH test goes a step further by also measuring their metabolites, which are the breakdown products of hormones. This is a critical distinction because it reveals how your body is actually processing and detoxifying these hormones.

The Dutch complete tests 48 different metabolites including all hormones, cortisol, melatonin neurotransmitters and gives us indications of B vitamins, oxidative stress and digestive inflammation. It provides a comprehensive overview of how your body produces, metabolises, and eliminates hormones throughout the day.

Indications for a DUTCH Hormone test include:

  • Circadian rhythm dysregulation and sleep disturbances

  • PCOS
