Paediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndromes (PANS) and is a condition of immune-mediated neuroinflammation that primarily affects children. It is characterized by a sudden and dramatic onset of neuropsychiatric symptoms such as anxiety, OCD behaviours, restrictive eating or Tics, following an infection, virus or environmental trigger exposure.
